Emergency lighting – safety compliant with standards

Emergency lighting is a mandatory element in buildings where user safety is crucial. Its task is to ensure visibility during a power outage and enable a quick and safe evacuation. When it comes to emergency lighting, regulations and the PN-EN 1838 standard indicate that luminaires must be arranged to indicate escape routes, stairwells, first aid points, and gathering areas. The minimum operating time is at least 1 hour after a power outage, and the illuminance cannot be lower than 1 lux at the floor level of the escape route.
