Fuse switches – effective protection of the electrical installation

Fuse switches are one of the basic elements of modular equipment, ensuring effective protection of circuits against overloads and short circuits. Combined with cylindrical inserts and fuse bases, they provide a reliable solution for both home and industrial installations.

 

Construction and application of fuse switch disconnectors

Switch disconnectors of this type are mounted directly on a DIN rail and are used to quickly and safely disconnect the circuit in the event of a fault. They work with fuse links in the 10×38, 14×51 or 22×58 mm standards, making them suitable for use in low-voltage switchboards. Their design allows for easy replacement of the fuse insert without having to interfere with the entire installation.

The use of fuse switch disconnectors is particularly recommended in installations with significant loads or sensitive electrical devices. They can act as primary or additional protection, supporting the operation of overcurrent circuit breakers and differential current devices with an overcurrent module.
