Additionally, many models allow for precise threshold setting and time delay, which prevents accidental switching, for example, due to a momentary blackout.

The latter often work with a separate light sensor, placed outside the building. Depending on the version, it is possible to control one or more circuits, e.g., outdoor and garden lighting simultaneously.
